SDE III – Whatsapp Voice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and actively contribute to the architecture and development of various products, promoting technical excellence in both frontend and backend systems.

• Design and enhance backend API services utilizing test-driven development, incorporating advanced caching and messaging solutions for improved reliability and scalability.

• Provide exceptional frontend experiences through the use of modern frameworks, with a solid foundation in component-based architectures and state management.

• Implement and maintain observability, logging, and monitoring systems to guarantee platform reliability and swift incident response.

• Uphold superior application security and compliance by applying best practices across frontend, backend, and API layers (authentication, authorization, rate-limiting, OWASP).

• Utilize LLMs and AI tools for efficient code writing, refactoring, testing, and debugging, while establishing guardrails for reliability.

• Engage in design reviews, in-depth discussions, and on-call rotations to foster a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of practical software engineering experience in building and scaling robust backend systems and high-performance frontend applications.

• Strong skills in backend engineering and distributed system design, with hands-on experience in API development, data modeling, and systems architecture using Golang/Java/Node.js (preferably NestJS), TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.

• Expertise in backend performance enhancement, caching strategies, and event-driven architectures (e.g., Redis, Kafka, Pub/Sub).

• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular), advanced UI engineering patterns, and CSS libraries such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.

• Advanced experience with complex state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex, MobX) and the architectural design of large-scale application state.

• Demonstrated ability to optimize frontend performance and web vitals at scale, including experience with server-side rendering (SSR), edge, or hybrid rendering architectures.

• Knowledge of frontend and backend observability, including monitoring, tracing, error tracking, and performance profiling in production (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry, PostHog).

• Strong understanding of security best practices across the entire stack, encompassing authentication, authorization, access control, secure data flow, and privacy compliance.

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, capable of driving complex initiatives, leading technical discussions, and mentoring junior engineers.
