SAP Solution Architect – Digital Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Oversee the solution architecture for an S/4HANA transformation program, focusing on essential aspects of business processes, data & analytics, applications, and technologies.

• Spearhead the creation of the Solution Architecture in complex business transformation initiatives, including comprehensive solution design, integrations, and data migration.

• Ensure that technical solutions, platforms, and systems fulfill business requirements as well as future demands.

• Design and execute an enterprise roadmap for SAP S/4HANA along with a collection of new solutions, which includes leadership of the ERP non-functional roadmap and associated enterprise-wide integration needs.

• Deliver digital capabilities that enhance and transform the business to facilitate new business models.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and technical solutions in key areas such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, digital platforms, Cloud Integration, API Management, AI, Advanced Analytics, and IoT.

• Establish a well-structured and clearly defined solution architecture framework that meets deadlines, budget, and quality standards.

• Ensure compliance with solution governance and adhere to enterprise architecture principles and standards.

• Lead and engage in critical governance forums, including Architecture Review Boards, Program Boards, Change Control Boards, and Integration Management meetings.

• Actively participate in business development and pre-sales efforts, including crafting proposals and responding to “Requests for Proposal” (RFPs) and “Requests for Information” (RFIs).

• Proactively oversee, monitor, and report on the identification, impact, dependencies, risks, mitigations, and implementation status of solution architecture topics and areas needing improvement; take ownership of resolving solution architecture issues.

• Coordinate with third-party providers and vendors as necessary.

• Manage internal consulting teams, third-party provider resources, and contracted personnel.

• You are experienced in designing and managing comprehensive enterprise solutions.

• You showcase leadership in architectural discussions and possess a strong passion for technology along with business insights.

• Significant experience working in a consulting environment, particularly in large-scale SAP transformation initiatives.

• Proven track record in executing large-scale SAP transformation programs successfully.

• Practical knowledge of project management life cycle principles and methodologies, including SAP Activate and key concepts like Model Company and SAP Value Lifecycle Management.

• Familiarity with solution and enterprise architecture frameworks and models, such as TOGAF.

• Extensive experience in SAP solution architecture, with a strong understanding of common solution challenges in large-scale transformation projects.

• Demonstrated ability to implement an Agile-based design and delivery methodology.

• Ideally possess experience in process analysis and business process design methodologies.

• Strong comprehension of major data objects and SAP enterprise structures.

• Comprehensive understanding of various SAP applications, including S/4HANA, IBP, MDG, etc.

• Proficient in utilizing technologies such as Cloud, APIs, AI, and IoT.

• Experience in delivering SAP through a value-driven transformation methodology.

• Exceptional client interaction skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships to collaboratively design and implement transformation solutions.

• Capability to inspire, persuade, and influence to secure buy-in from senior business management and stakeholders.

• Strong problem management skills, including problem identification, structuring, resolution, and facilitation.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within the organization and utilize existing resources.

• Experience in gathering, validating, synthesizing, documenting, and communicating data and information for diverse audiences.

• Willingness to travel as required for project-related activities.
