SAP S/4HANA Upgrade Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the key point of contact for facilitating the upgrade of the TCA system.

• Provide support for the SAP S/4HANA 2025 upgrade, with a specific emphasis on Transportation Management.

• Evaluate the functional implications of the upgrade on TM processes by utilizing SAP Release Notes, Simplification Items, and pertinent documentation.

• Ensure the integrity of end-to-end business processes through practical testing, integration, and functional configuration.

• Detect and rectify system defects via systematic root cause analysis and ongoing testing.

• Work in collaboration with Application Development, BPMA, TCA, integration, and testing teams to execute necessary changes.

• Liaise with Change Management regarding all impacts associated with the upgrade.

• Oversee essential logistics operations, which include freight planning, carrier selection, and secure shipment processes.

• Assist with system retrofits, deployment initiatives, and dual maintenance during both steady-state and upgrade phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of five years of practical experience with SAP TM (Transportation Management) and S/4HANA upgrades.

• Preferably experienced in international, mid- to large-scale environments.

• Background in SAP S/4HANA 2025, including Private Cloud and On-Premise solutions.

• Familiar with SAP TM (embedded/decentralized), SAP EWM, and MM/SD modules.

• Knowledge of SAP EDI, IDocs, ESR, and CIF integration protocols.

• Experienced in utilizing SAP Solution Manager, Readiness Check, and Focused Build tools.

• Capable of reviewing and interpreting SAP simplification notes.

• Proven experience in designing and conducting impact assessments.

• Proficient in managing master data and configuration without programming skills.

• Experienced in coordinating dual maintenance and environment management during upgrades.

• Capable of leading integration testing scenarios, user acceptance testing, and comprehensive defect management.

• Strong analytical troubleshooting and root cause resolution abilities.

• Expertise in mapping Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes to TM modules.

• Understanding of freight planning, charge management, tendering, and settlement processes.

• Experience acting as a cross-functional liaison across technical integration, business process management, and change management.

• Ability to articulate system changes and provide user training.

• Detail-oriented, execution-driven, and analytical mindset.

• SAP Certified Application Associate TM in S/4HANA certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

• No coding experience is required.
