SAP PPDS, ePPDS Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Solution Design: Partner with clients and business stakeholders to collect requirements and create efficient production planning and scheduling processes utilizing SAP ePPDS. Identify areas for process enhancement and suggest best practices.

• Implementation and Configuration: Customize the SAP ePPDS module according to business requirements and industry-specific demands. Establish master data, define planning parameters, configure scheduling strategies, and integrate with other SAP modules and systems.

• System Testing and Documentation: Perform thorough testing of the SAP ePPDS solution to ensure it aligns with business requirements and operates as expected. Document test results, configuration modifications, and system design for future reference and knowledge sharing.

• Training and User Support: Deliver training to end-users on effectively utilizing SAP ePPDS features, including creating production plans, scheduling orders, and managing exceptions. Provide ongoing user support, troubleshoot problems, and respond to inquiries related to the ePPDS module.

• Integration and Data Migration: Work with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless integration of SAP ePPDS with other SAP modules, such as Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Plant Maintenance (PM). Assist with data migration efforts, ensuring accurate and timely transfer of relevant data into the ePPDS system.

• Change Management: Aid in change management initiatives by supporting business process reengineering, conducting impact assessments, and facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT). Collaborate with stakeholders to tackle any challenges related to changes and ensure successful adoption of SAP ePPDS.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest advancements and features in SAP ePPDS and related technologies. Continuously seek opportunities for system optimization, performance enhancement, and automation to improve production planning and scheduling processes.

• Project Management: Engage in project planning, monitor progress, and oversee deliverables within established timelines and budgets. Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and efficient project execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of SAP experience in implementing and configuring one or more SAP ePPDS projects.

• Strong configuration knowledge for Advanced Planning in S4HANA, including Basic settings, Global Settings, Master data, Alert Monitor, Planning Procedures, PP Optimization, MRP Run, Order View, Heuristics, Detailed Scheduling Settings, CIF integration, and Product Planning Table, as well as PPDS Alerts based on planning profiles or departments per function.

• Familiarity with Block planning and PPDS Optimizer.

• Functional knowledge across various levels of Planning (Strategic, Tactical, and Operational planning).

• Understanding of functions in the planning board, including planning strategies.

• Knowledge of PPDS integration with other systems (such as IBP) for forecast integration.

• Comprehension of Planning parameters and various types of Heuristics in PPDS, along with their application to business scenarios.

• Proficiency in SAP PP (Production Planning) and its integration with other SAP modules.

• Experience in production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing processes across different industries.

• Understanding of supply chain management concepts and best practices.

• Familiarity and experience with APO is advantageous.
