SAP FICO Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the FICO workstream, serving as the main SAP advisor for finance leaders and their teams.

• Enhance the finance team's utilization of core FICO modules including GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting, and Inventory.

• Facilitate integration with related third-party retail systems (POS, e-commerce, payment processing, OM, WMS, HR).

• Supervise configuration, data management, and process setup in accordance with SAP best practices.

• Expand the current implementation to include the Canada entity and other business units.

• Provide role-based supplemental training programs for accounting staff and finance managers who have little to no prior SAP experience as needed.

• Assist in developing accessible documentation, quick-reference guides, and SOPs tailored for retail finance workflows.

• Foster internal SAP expertise to lessen long-term reliance on external consultants.

• Address any P1 and P2 issues related to the SAP FICO module.

• Enhance month-end and year-end financial closing processes by leveraging S/4HANA automation.

• Design and offer technical guidance to SAP developers for creating financial reports using SAP Fiori apps and SAC.

• Create intelligent AR and AP workflows, including payment runs, OTC reconciliation, GR/IR, and bank reconciliation.

• Configure Fixed Asset Accounting to meet depreciation and reporting requirements.

• Utilize Profitability Analysis to deliver actionable margin and segment reporting for retail leadership.

• Ensure that FICO configuration adheres to US GAAP compliance, audit requirements, and internal controls.

• Establish best practices for authorization and role design in collaboration with the Basis team.

• Maintain configuration documentation, technical specifications, and change management logs.

• Ensure thorough testing, quality assurance, and readiness for go-live.

• Manage issues, risks, and communications with stakeholders across various entities.

• Assist with external audit activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated SAP FICO configuration and implementation experience, with a minimum of 2 full end-to-end S/4HANA implementations.

• Proven expertise across FI sub-modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Accounting, and GL.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA finance and governance processes.

• Ability to simplify complex SAP concepts for non-technical finance audiences.

• Experience in developing and delivering end-user training programs and documentation.

• Strong understanding of financial closing processes and accounting practices in retail (both brick-and-mortar and e-commerce).
