SAP EWM Functional Consultant – Principal Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Address intricate SAP EWM second and third-level incidents and challenges in highly automated warehouse settings, including conveyor systems, robotics, and SAP EWM MFS.

• Move beyond mere ticket resolution by investigating root causes, stabilizing systems, and preventing future issues.

• Engage in ongoing enhancements, improvements, and innovations, rather than focusing solely on fixes.

• Assist with change requests, releases, and upgrades in close cooperation with global clients.

• Acquire skills in debugging SAP EWM processes (ABAP) and gain insights into the underlying operations.

• Serve as a reliable partner for customers managing 24/7 logistics environments.

• Collaborate with senior EWM specialists across Europe, Asia, and the United States.

• Participate in projects spanning various industries such as spare parts, retail, automotive, and pharmaceuticals.

• Gain exposure to automated warehouse systems, including ASRS, conveyor systems, AGVs, and automated packaging solutions.

• Work with SAP EWM systems that are integrated with third-party applications and external systems.

• Contribute innovative ideas, tools, accelerators, and best practices for contemporary AMS delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of overall IT experience, with substantial expertise as an EWM functional consultant.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, IT Engineering, or a related field of study.

• Experience or a solid foundation in SAP EWM application support or operations, along with basic knowledge of SAP EWM MFS.

• A genuine passion for automated warehouses and logistics processes.

• Willingness to learn SAP EWM MFS and ABAP debugging (comfortable with technical complexities).

• Ability to maintain composure and organization in high-pressure, production-critical situations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Proactive and independent work style – you take initiative without needing explicit direction.

• Desire to evolve from a "support consultant" to a genuine SAP EWM expert.
