SAP Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the comprehensive architecture, ongoing development, and modernization of a sophisticated SAP HANA production environment, which includes software, infrastructure components, and relevant interfaces.

• Conduct analysis, engage in discussions, and present architecture proposals tailored to the audience in close collaboration with stakeholders.

• Adapt and localize corporate SAP strategies while actively participating in digital transformation initiatives.

• Assist in incident management and oversee the monitoring of integrations with peripheral systems.

• Implement system updates and patches to maintain system stability and security.

• Ensure adherence to corporate, security, and audit standards, including SAP hardening practices.

• Provide support to process owners and development teams in analyzing requirements and designing solutions that are future-proof, facilitating implementation and transition to operations.

• Lead projects involving SAP migration, upgrades, and transformations.

• Oversee and provide technical support for integrations with third-party systems as well as SAP interfaces to other systems in cloud, hybrid, and on-premise settings.

• Define and enhance governance frameworks, architecture standards, and guidelines for SAP architecture.

• Actively contribute suggestions for continuous improvement and the application of best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in delivering complex solutions utilizing SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and AI/ML, with a strong command of modern SAP technology stacks.

• In-depth architectural knowledge across all layers of SAP S/4HANA: database, application, integration, compliance, and security.

• Robust technical acumen in security architectures, automation, deployment patterns, and enterprise-level integration frameworks.

• Significant experience in integrating SAP S/4HANA with intricate third-party and surrounding systems (middleware, APIs, event-driven architectures); familiarity with SAP PO or SAP Integration Suite is a notable advantage.

• High level of proficiency in SAP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and a solid grasp of modern data and analytics platforms, such as SAP Datasphere.

• Experienced in incident, problem, and change management, maintaining a strong focus on quality and system stability throughout the entire SAP lifecycle.

• Excellent communication skills, strong collaborative abilities within teams, and assertiveness in dynamic, agile settings.

• Innovative mindset, adept problem-solving skills, and a profound understanding of both business and end-user perspectives.
