SAP Basis Performance Consultant – m/f/d

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Perform performance assessments during migrations, utilizing database and SAP traces, execution plan evaluations, and runtime assessments.

• Oversee system monitoring during project activities, which includes tracking CPU and RAM load, while enhancing migration processes regarding resource management and system performance.

• Evaluate the sizing of SAP systems in relation to hardware components and SAP system parameters.

• Collaborate with client-side SAP Basis teams to fine-tune the parameterization of databases and SAP systems.

• Assist in the implementation of transformation and data migration projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in (business) computer science — a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferable, but a technical-analytical foundation is crucial.

• A relevant Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a STEM discipline is advantageous.

• In-depth technical expertise in relational DBMS (SAP HANA, Oracle) and SAP Basis.

• Comprehensive understanding of the technical architecture of SAP systems and performance-related parameters.

• Proficient in ABAP, ABAP OO, and SQL, with experience in optimizing SAP performance.

• Familiarity with SAP data migration projects and the ETL process.

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA conversion, data migration tools, and the Near-Zero Downtime (NZDT) approach is beneficial.

• Exceptional communication skills with proficiency in both written and spoken German and English.

• Willingness to travel occasionally.
