• Develop and manage a solution sales pipeline by partnering with Account Management and directly engaging potential prospects (solution sales).
• Serve as a bridge between Product and Account Management to enhance and advance Velera’s business and account relationships.
• Work collaboratively with Velera support teams (such as ITS, Product, Implementations, Marketing, and Analytics) to assist FI Experience business units broadly, and specifically Account Management teams, by addressing inquiries, preparing and delivering onsite presentations, and providing additional marketing/sales support as required to drive business and enhance relationships.
• Act as a resource for Velera Account Management to respond to inquiries and educational opportunities related to Velera solutions.
• Actively seek and stay informed about competitive and product intelligence, including key competitors, industry updates, product launches, and trends.
• Exhibit sales acumen through active listening, insightful questioning, and leveraging internal and industry relationships to assist Account Management in positioning solutions to Velera financial institutions.
• Demonstrate sales expertise by effectively reading the room, aligning audience needs with the presented content, and adjusting discussions based on the requirements of the financial institution.
• Establish and uphold effective communication with prospective financial institutions through suitable contact channels; identify challenges throughout the sales/lifecycle process that must be addressed to successfully secure a commitment.
• Meet year-end revenue targets established at the beginning of the fiscal year, as directed.
• Function as a problem-solving partner for internal Velera stakeholders.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or a comparable combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience in banking or credit union card processing with expertise in product line business is required.
• Experience in product training and demonstrations is required.
• Experience in card payments and issuing is preferred.
• Familiarity with sales automation software is preferred.
