This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• The Risk Analyst employs data analysis, visualization, and modeling techniques to deliver insights, recognize trends, and identify fraud risks, providing actionable recommendations that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency throughout the organization.
• Developing and sustaining risk-related dashboards for local operations tailored to program, donor, and operational requirements.
• Organizing and managing data from various sources, including those not captured within internal systems.
• Creating and maintaining reports that integrate data to support the Risk Management function with insights regarding actors on our platform.
• Analyzing data to uncover risk and fraud patterns and communicating these findings to the Risk Management team.
• Designing tools that assist local and global teams in identifying trends, comprehending risks, and making informed decisions to enhance process controls.
• Assisting with donor reporting as necessary.
• Actively participating in meetings and projects, collaborating closely with team members, and keeping abreast of the latest data and fraud detection methodologies.
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to additional projects across the organization as needed.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in managing end-to-end analytics projects.
• Capability to construct dynamic analytical models utilizing advanced formulas in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong SQL proficiency, including the ability to write complex queries using joins and window functions to validate extensive datasets.
• Experience in developing interactive dashboards, employing table calculations, storytelling features, and advanced filtering techniques.
• Ability to apply best-practice visualization design principles and publish dashboards to Tableau Server/Cloud.
• Proficiency in Python or R for advanced analytics and visualization (e.g., scikit-learn, matplotlib, Plotly).
