This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
β’ Design, develop, and deliver a well-defined project on the Agora roadmap.
β’ Showcase the completed project to the engineering and research teams.
β’ Enhance and refine multiprocessing, async I/O, and threading components within a production distributed training environment.
β’ Engage directly with large-scale training infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
β’ Make daily contributions to the production codebase.
β’ Collaborate with the Agora team through code reviews and mentorship initiatives.
β’ Contribute to Agora, Pluralis Research's production decentralized training platform.
β’ Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a Masters or PhD program in machine learning, computer science, or a related field.
β’ Proficient in Python and PyTorch.
β’ Experience in creating concurrent or parallel systems using multiprocessing, async I/O, and threading techniques.
β’ Hands-on experience with distributed machine learning gained through internships, coursework, or significant projects.
β’ Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other hyperscaler platforms.
β’ A strong belief that Protocol Learning represents a viable third path for collective, trustless, and sovereign AI.
β’ Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
β’ Candidates must be based in Australia.
β’ Outstanding ML publications are welcomed but not mandatory for candidates focused on systems.
β’ Contributions to open-source ML frameworks, distributed systems, or networking libraries are advantageous.
