This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute both production and non-production deployments using Helm, ArgoCD, and Rancher, adhering to established release protocols and exercising independent judgment when conditions differ from expectations.
• Oversee Helm chart configurations and releases to ensure that deployments are consistent, repeatable, and aligned with the desired release state across various environments.
• Utilize ArgoCD to monitor application synchronization status, manage rollouts, and promptly and methodically address any drift or deployment failures.
• Operate within Rancher to manage Kubernetes cluster workloads, validate pod health, and troubleshoot deployment-level issues across different environments.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Nymbus platform architecture to inform deployment decisions and expedite issue diagnosis.
• Engage in off-hours release windows, including evenings and weekends as scheduled, to support deployments that necessitate low-traffic maintenance periods.
• Monitor system performance immediately following deployments, identifying anomalies early and escalating or rolling back as necessary.
• Contribute to release documentation, deployment runbooks, and post-release summaries.
• Collaborate with the Release Coordination team to confirm deployment preparedness, identify blockers early, and maintain effective communication throughout the release cycle.
• Employ AI coding tools as an integral part of your workflow: drafting and reviewing merge requests, generating boilerplate configurations and chart modifications, and accelerating routine deployment tasks.
• Recognize repetitive or manual steps in the release process and create small tools, scripts, or automations (AI-assisted or otherwise) to eliminate them and enhance the team's efficiency.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Helm and Kubernetes in a production setting.
• Familiarity with ArgoCD and Rancher is highly preferred.
• Experience in deploying and troubleshooting workloads on AWS is a significant advantage.
• Proficient in using AI coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) as a regular part of your workflow, not just for autocomplete but for drafting merge requests and developing internal tools.
• A builder's mindset: when you notice a repetitive task, your first inclination is to find a way to script or automate it.
• Background in a regulated or high-availability environment (fintech, banking, or SaaS platforms catering to enterprise clients) is a notable advantage.
• Strong adherence to processes and effective communication. You rigorously follow procedures, raise concerns early when something appears amiss, and avoid cutting corners under time pressure.
• Willingness to work off-hours as a regular part of the role, not as an exception.
• Availability for scheduled production deployments outside of regular hours is required.
• Annual Cash Bonus and Equity Options commensurate with the role level and experience.
• 100% Remote work opportunity.
• 401(k) plan.
• Comprehensive Insurance - Health, Dental, and Vision coverage.
• Flexible Paid Time Off.
