• Become a key member of the Regulatory and Licensing team, serving as the main point of contact for regulatory affairs in Mexico and Colombia.
• Formulate and implement regulatory strategies that align with Tether’s overall objectives.
• Engage in interactions with regulatory agencies, liaising with pertinent authorities and industry organizations.
• Analyze local regulatory proposals, offering insights on possible regulatory risks and opportunities to the business.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to tackle emerging regulatory challenges.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation for regulatory inquiries and approvals.
• At least 5 years of regulatory experience in the financial services or crypto-asset sector.
• Preferred: 5–8 years of regulatory experience in financial services, fintech, or crypto-asset domains.
• Ability to strategically and operationally apply knowledge of key regulatory frameworks in Mexico and Colombia.
• Proven diplomatic skills and capability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Proficiency in preparing regulatory analyses, including managing interactions with regulatory authorities.
• Established experience working with or within regulatory bodies.
• Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a background in public speaking and representing organizations in regulatory discussions.
• Must exhibit strong teamwork capabilities.
• Proficiency in English and native fluency in the local languages of Mexico and Colombia.
• A university degree is required; an advanced degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, or a related field is preferred.
