This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly assessments of individual code quality.
• Provide instruction and support to coding associates and leaders regarding coding guidelines.
• Execute follow-up reviews for quality assurance.
• Act as a subject matter expert in professional fee coding.
• Monitor and audit both inpatient and outpatient accounts.
• Develop presentations and educational resources for the coding team.
• Support the operational coding team with initial coding tasks and denial resolutions.
• Train both new hires and existing staff members.
• Create training resources and coding tools.
• Present audit results to coding management and leadership.
• A minimum of 5 years of coding experience.
• At least 3 years of auditing experience.
• Expertise in various EMR systems.
• Proficient in using encoders.
• Skilled in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledgeable about HIPAA regulations.
• Capable of maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Able to organize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
• Familiar with medical and surgical terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess an inquisitive nature and be open to innovation.
