Public Cloud Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Serve as a trusted advisor who transforms business objectives into cloud architecture.

• Collaborate closely with client executives, enterprise architects, as well as security and compliance teams.

• Conduct discovery and assessment workshops.

• Develop the business case and total cost of ownership.

• Convert requirements into well-architected solutions on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.

• Mentor fellow architects and consultants.

• Create reference architectures and reusable accelerators.

• Distinguish Kyndryl through innovative capabilities such as agentic AI and automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in designing and delivering enterprise IT solutions.

• At least 4 years dedicated to public cloud architecture.

• Practical solutions architecture experience with at least one major hyperscaler (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).

• Multi-cloud experience is highly preferred.

• Proven history of leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of core cloud domains: compute, storage, networking (VPC/VNet, hybrid connectivity, DNS, load balancing), identity and access management, as well as cloud security and governance.

• Solid understanding of cloud-native and modernization patterns, including containers and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE), microservices, serverless, and application refactoring.

• Hands-on experience in designing and delivering AI solutions on the cloud.

• Experience in applying AI to the delivery process itself.

• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, Ansible).

• Practical comprehension of security by design and cloud cost optimization (FinOps).

• Proven consulting abilities: conducting client workshops and influencing senior stakeholders through presentations.

• Possession of at least one current associate- or professional-level cloud certification.
