Project Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the production and coordination of comprehensive construction document sets for 2 to 3 active projects at the same time.

• Create floor plans, roof plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules derived from design models and redlines.

• Convert Revit-based design information into well-structured, code-compliant drawing sets.

• Ensure that drawings effectively convey design intent, constructability, and sequencing to contractors and consultants.

• Prepare drawing sets for city plan checks, permit submissions, and contractor pricing.

• Confirm adherence to relevant residential and commercial building codes as well as local jurisdiction requirements.

• Collaborate with structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical consultants to coordinate architectural drawings throughout all project phases.

• Revise architectural plans, sections, and details as consultant drawings progress.

• Incorporate structural framing — including beams, posts, headers, hold-downs, steel framing, and cantilevers — into architectural sections and wall details for precise field execution.

• Proactively identify and address consultant conflicts prior to field implementation.

• Generate clear and technically rigorous details for light wood-frame residential construction.

• Detail steel framing for large spans, cantilevers, and hillside conditions.

• Develop construction details for light gauge steel commercial tenant improvements.

• Assist with restaurant tenant improvement projects, including interior layouts and minor exterior modifications.

• Contribute to the studio's architectural detail library by organizing and expanding reusable content.

• Create AutoCAD and Revit templates for various project types to enhance consistency and efficiency.

• Enhance documentation workflows and drawing standards throughout the studio.

• Provide support with miscellaneous drafting tasks and technical problem-solving as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in AutoCAD, which serves as the studio's main production platform.

• Proficient knowledge of Revit for reading and converting design information into production documents.

• Proven experience in creating permit-ready and construction document sets.

• In-depth understanding of light wood-frame construction, building sections, and wall assemblies.

• Experience in detailing light gauge steel framing and structural integration.

• Solid working knowledge of residential and commercial building codes and local jurisdiction requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and coordinate structural, MEP, and consultant drawings.

• Exceptional organization, file management, and adherence to drawing standards.

• Experience with custom residential projects and/or restaurant tenant improvements is preferred.
