Principal Solutions Engineer – Artificial Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the Technical Sales Lifecycle: Lead the technical sales process from initial meetings and discovery through to post-sales success, upselling, and subscription renewals.

• Design AI Solutions: Develop comprehensive solutions tailored to customer needs utilizing Cloudera technologies—specifically Cloudera AI, AI Inference, AI Studios, and AI Workbench—based on reference architectures and established patterns.

• Strategic Advocacy: Present Cloudera’s product roadmap and vision to C-level executives (CIO, CTO, CDO), illustrating how AI Agents and Cloud Bursting enhance enterprise AI adoption.

• Showcase Value: Create and deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations that encourage customers to commit to Cloudera.

• Collaborate with Account Managers to effectively communicate the genuine business value of our solutions.

• Customer Advocate: Engage with Product Management and Engineering to represent your customers' needs, converting field feedback into actionable roadmap items.

• Community Engagement: Involve yourself in external publicity and advocacy, including speaking at conferences, writing blogs, and hosting webinars to promote the narrative around trusted Enterprise AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior Experience: At least 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a pre-sales or solutions engineering setting.

• AI & Data Expertise: Extensive experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or Machine Learning.

• Cloud Architecture Competence: Proficiency with one or more leading cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and an understanding of hybrid deployment considerations (public vs. private cloud).

• Enterprise Governance Insight: You recognize that a Data Lake extends beyond mere storage solutions.

• Technical Adaptability: Experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing (e.g., Iceberg), or Relational Databases, along with familiarity in Unix/Linux environments.

• Communication Excellence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of whiteboarding complex architectures and effectively gathering business requirements.

• Enthusiasm & Inquisitiveness: A desire to learn, a curiosity to explore new use cases for Cloudera technology, and a commitment to ensuring customer success.
