Principal Research Scientist – Clinical Development Scientist

📋 Description

• Independently create, validate, and enhance bioanalytical methods or guide other team members in these tasks.

• Propel innovation within the company's bioanalytical methodologies.

• Process, analyze, and interpret bioanalytical data while training and guiding staff on suitable analysis techniques.

• Identify solutions for challenges associated with the utilization of bioanalytical methods.

• Oversee and/or promote enhancements in laboratory activity processes, including method development and validation.

• Draft and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) for bioanalytical methods.

• Analyze scientific literature to inform the advancement of bioanalytical methods.

• Document and/or review records of activities tied to the development and validation of bioanalytical methods.

• May assist in training new employees concerning research, development, and validation.

• Contribute to competitive intelligence by designing and testing new analytical instruments.

• Coordinate resources to facilitate the development of bioanalytical methods.

• May be called upon to carry out all biological sample processing and analysis tasks.

• May supervise the operations of laboratory personnel.

• Guide, coach, and mentor scientific staff.

• Oversee the development of direct reports by establishing goals, conducting performance evaluations, assessing training needs, creating development plans, and providing mentoring and coaching.

• Prioritize and schedule departmental resources, implement company objectives, and devise alternative strategies to tackle business and operational challenges.

• Accountable for executing activities in accordance with relevant Corporate and Divisional Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Operating Guidelines, as well as fulfilling additional duties assigned by management.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science.

• Appropriate alternate certification may be deemed acceptable.

• Experience within a regulatory framework will be recognized as an advantage.

• Must exhibit strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and analytical software (e.g., Analyst).

• Demonstrate proficiency in scientific problem-solving.

• English proficiency: Required bilingualism includes verbal and written communication on often technical subjects, along with the ability to write procedures or technical reports.
