This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive design for the container platform.
• Simplify intricate developer workflows into refined, well-defined solutions.
• Collaborate and engage with a diverse team of designers, product managers, and engineers.
• Actively utilize AI tools throughout the design process for prototyping, synthesis, and iteration.
• Work with stakeholders to establish consensus on a unified product vision.
• Constructively question current methodologies and advocate for improved solutions.
• Mentor and guide members of the product design team.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape design strategies.
• Proven history of influencing product direction and strategy through actionable, research-based design.
• Extensive experience in designing for developer tools, platforms, or infrastructure products.
• Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods with the ability to quickly synthesize and communicate findings.
• Proficient in prototyping, rapid visualizations, and iterative development.
• Demonstrated capability to grasp new technology domains and form strong opinions about them.
• Exceptional project management, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Experience in leading, coaching, or mentoring product designers. This role is expected to elevate the skills of our staff and senior designers, defining design practices at Docker rather than working in isolation.
• Familiarity with container technologies, DevOps tools, or infrastructure products.
