Principal Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the strategy for products and experiences across vast, complex problem areas, focusing on converting intricate, data-rich environments into straightforward, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

• Strategic Leadership: Formulate and advance product strategy that aligns with sustainability objectives and measurable impact results.

• Sustainability Expertise: Convert sustainability frameworks (e.g., ESG reporting, circular economy, carbon reduction) into practical product initiatives.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively with sustainability leaders, business stakeholders, and technical teams to identify and prioritize sustainable product opportunities.

• Product Vision & Delivery: Oversee the design and implementation of digital products and services that promote responsible business practices and long-term resilience.

• Innovation & Research: Recognize emerging trends and technologies in sustainability and weave them into the product discovery and development processes.

• Establish and expand design systems, frameworks, and patterns while guiding teams on when and how to adapt beyond existing systems to meet changing product and business requirements.

• Address system-level challenges—including AI-driven and data-heavy experiences—using systems thinking and a proactive perspective on how emerging technologies influence user interactions.

• Mentor, coach, and uplift design teams while promoting design excellence, setting high standards for modern, top-quality design practices, and advocating for design’s strategic importance with senior and executive stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in product management, including senior or principal-level positions.

• Experience with products in sustainability-focused fields such as energy, mobility, supply chain, circular economy, or ESG data and reporting.

• In-depth knowledge of sustainability frameworks, including SDGs, net-zero strategies, carbon accounting, or ESG principles.

• Ability to connect business strategy with environmental objectives and user experience.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience in influencing senior stakeholders.

• Familiarity with agile design methodologies.
