This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the creation of scientifically accurate, strategically focused, and engaging medical content for various formats and audiences.
• Convert intricate scientific and clinical data into clear narratives, visuals, presentations, and communication tools.
• Act as a reliable scientific partner to clients, participating in strategic planning discussions and providing proactive recommendations.
• Independently manage assigned projects and deliverables, including timelines, priorities, internal review processes, and client expectations.
• Utilize therapeutic area expertise to guarantee content is precise, relevant, and aligns with client objectives.
• Evaluate materials for scientific accuracy, consistency, compliance, style, and quality.
• Work closely with cross-functional colleagues to produce thoughtful, cohesive, and high-quality deliverables.
• Engage in brainstorming sessions to explore creative and effective methods for scientific storytelling.
• Mentor and guide junior writers, aiding them in enhancing their medical writing skills, client awareness, and ability to handle feedback.
• Provide scientific insights for proposals, pitches, and thought-leadership initiatives.
• A robust interest in science, medicine, and medical communications, coupled with a genuine desire to clarify and make complex information accessible.
• Previous experience in medical communications, with the capacity to generate content for scientific, clinical, medical affairs, or related audiences.
• An advanced degree, such as a Master’s, PhD, PharmD, MD, MSc, or equivalent, in a health, medical, or life sciences field.
• Strong self-direction and time management abilities, including the capability to independently manage workload after training, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines without constant supervision.
• Willingness to accept constructive feedback, demonstrating resilience, flexibility, and a growth mindset to revise and enhance deliverables based on client and team input.
• Exceptional writing, editing, critical thinking, and scientific storytelling abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to distill complex data into accurate, engaging narratives and visuals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Word; Excel expertise is advantageous.
• Capability to collaborate in a fast-paced, client-focused environment while upholding quality and professionalism.
