Principal Machine Learning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Develop engineering standards, best practices, and evaluation frameworks for AI systems.

• Spearhead technical decision-making regarding model selection, system architecture, and deployment approaches.

• Serve as the subject matter expert for agentic AI and contemporary LLM-based systems within the organization.

• Design and implement production-grade, multi-step AI agents that are capable of autonomous reasoning, tool orchestration, task decomposition, memory management, and human-in-the-loop escalation.

• Create and deploy AI systems on enterprise cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.

• Manage the agent evaluation and observability stack, which includes benchmarking, tracing, regression testing, and performance monitoring.

• Collaborate with business leaders to identify, prioritize, and shape AI-driven initiatives that align with organizational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in machine learning, AI, or related fields.

• At least 2 years of recent experience in architecting and delivering LLM-based and agentic AI systems in a production environment.

• A proven record of delivering comprehensive AI solutions, from problem identification to production deployment.

• Strong programming abilities in Python and familiarity with modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
