Principal Information Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Define, design, and provide support for enterprise security tools in collaboration with the Information Security and IT teams.

• Guide and mentor junior team members.

• Contribute to and improve the bank's perimeter security initiatives.

• Establish security requirements for new technology deployments and evaluate security solutions against those criteria.

• Design and implement selected technologies.

• Act as a security consultant and architect for various projects.

• Perform security research and threat modeling, offering recommendations to the IS/IT teams and supervising their execution.

• Conduct risk assessments to measure the effectiveness of existing security controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Preferred industry-standard certifications, including but not limited to: SANS certifications, ISC2 CISSP, and AWS.

• Over eight years of relevant IT work experience, including a minimum of six years in a hands-on information security engineering or analyst role.

• Experience with and support of Cloud, Linux, and Windows systems.

• Strong conceptual understanding of distributed computing principles.

• Familiarity with application and data security concepts, best practices, and common vulnerabilities.

• Experience in the financial industry is advantageous.

• Exceptional skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting accessibility issues.
