Principal Business Information Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business and innovation leaders to identify new opportunities and validate concepts through data-driven analysis.

• Convert strategic priorities into quantifiable objectives and key results, ensuring clear goals and measurement of success.

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators, representing the critical metrics that indicate progress and impact.

• Develop and sustain executive-level dashboards and reports to aid in decision-making and investment strategies.

• Create strategic documents such as business cases, performance scorecards, roadmaps, and executive summaries.

• Lead initiatives for business insights that facilitate drug development, research, and innovation efforts.

• Promote continuous improvement by pinpointing gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities through data analysis.

• Design and automate reporting solutions utilizing Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps for streamlined business tools.

• Encourage agile methodologies, characterized by short planning cycles, rapid feedback, and persistent enhancement.

• Utilize Azure DevOps or Microsoft Kanban tools to monitor work, set priorities, and track delivery progress.

• Maintain data quality, consistency, and reliability through robust data governance practices.

• Clearly present insights and recommendations to senior and executive leadership.

• Work collaboratively across functions within a global and matrixed environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree with 6 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in business analytics, business intelligence, or data-driven strategy roles.

• Preferred areas of study include Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business Performance, Engineering, or related fields.

• Proficiency in AI and experience with generative AI technologies.

• Demonstrated leadership skills.

• Extensive experience in translating business strategy into measurable goals and performance metrics.

• Proven track record in working with Objectives and Key Results.

• Expertise in defining, tracking, and articulating Key Performance Indicators and business performance measures.

• Advanced skills in statistical analysis and data modeling.

• Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL).

• Strong experience with Power BI for dashboards and executive reporting, or data analytics and visualization tools.

• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE, as well as Customer Relationship Management tools like Salesforce.

• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or others for data analysis.

• Proficient in using the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

• Knowledge of Kanban tools for managing tasks and priorities.

• Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies.

• Ability to create strategic business documents, including executive presentations, business cases, and performance business reviews.

• Excellent communication skills with a proven history of presenting to senior and executive audiences.

• Strong project management skills and experience in leading cross-functional initiatives.

• Experience in driving continuous improvement through data and structured problem-solving methods (Lean, Six Sigma).

• Knowledge of Power Apps or other low-code tools for developing simple business solutions and automating processes.

• Ability to work independently while influencing across teams and leadership levels.
