Pre-Licensed Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Acquire and uphold pre-licensure status in necessary states based on business requirements, and be open to obtaining licensure in additional states as requested by Equip (licensure expenses will be covered by Equip).

• Deliver evidence-based therapy for families, individuals, and groups dealing with eating disorders and associated diagnoses in a virtual clinic (i.e. telehealth) environment.

• Apply family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID (CBT-AR), and other evidence-based methodologies for patients of all ages experiencing eating disorders and their families.

• Manage a patient caseload as assigned to evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental health issues.

• Engage in ongoing training, supervision, department meetings, and other administrative responsibilities as needed.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team including medical providers, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.

• Use between-session messaging to assist patients and interact with the treatment team through Equip’s EMR in line with Equip’s policies and procedures.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of a Master’s or doctoral degree program in the mental health field, with eligibility for associate licensure or currently in the process of obtaining associate licensure in New York.

• Readiness to manage, with supervision, a caseload of patients across various ages, co-occurring conditions, backgrounds, cultures, and differing levels of acuity.

• Commitment to evidence-based care and treatment.

• Energetic and effective team player.

• Capability to safely and efficiently provide care in a virtual setting.

• Dedication to mental health and eating disorder treatment, along with a desire to enhance access to care.
