Power Electronics Domain Expert – PCB Design, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and create power electronic circuits (e.g., DC-DC converters, LDOs, AC-DC supplies, automotive power systems).

• Develop and manage schematics and PCB layouts utilizing tools like KiCad, Altium, or comparable software.

• Select and verify components based on electrical specifications and datasheet details.

• Assess circuit performance, focusing on efficiency, ripple, thermal dynamics, and reliability.

• Implement best practices in PCB layout, encompassing grounding techniques, routing, EMI reduction, and DFM considerations.

• Generate manufacturing documentation such as BOMs, Gerber files, and pick-and-place data.

• Conduct validation through simulations, calculations, and design rule checks (DRC).

• Establish organized validation methods addressing electrical specifications, component compliance, and design integrity.

• Set evaluation criteria for PCB layouts, including DRC/LVS, thermal performance, and power integrity.

• Work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to enhance design quality and evaluation methods.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of pertinent experience in power electronics or PCB design.

• Strong background in power electronics design (e.g., DC-DC converters, voltage regulators).

• Practical experience in schematic capture and PCB layout.

• Proficient with PCB design tools such as KiCad, Altium, or similar alternatives.

• Understanding of design rule checks (DRC), manufacturability, and fundamentals of EMI.
