This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Create advanced physics problems for training and assessing frontier AI.
• Develop deterministic problems that have a singular correct solution.
• Provide thorough, verified solutions while clearly documenting the reasoning process.
• Design problems that assess deep physical understanding and multi-step analytical skills, rather than mere memorization.
• When applicable, utilize Python or specialized tools to create simulations, models, or computational workflows.
• Ensure all outputs are technically accurate, reproducible, and well-articulated in English.
• A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Physics or a closely aligned discipline.
• Significant research or industry experience in theoretical, experimental, or computational physics.
• Proficient in Python, with familiarity in scientific libraries such as numpy, scipy, or similar.
• Strong grasp of modeling, simulation, numerical methods, and multi-step problem solving.
• Capability to craft original, challenging problems that mirror authentic physics workflows.
• Exceptional attention to detail and technical writing proficiency in English.
• Nice to have: Experience with simulation tools or domain-specific physics software (e.g., finite element tools, circuit simulators, symbolic systems).
• Nice to have: Background in areas like computational physics, statistical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, or related fields.
