This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the sales team as the product specialist, playing a pivotal role in the sales process.
• Engage in discussions about Video Surveillance, Access Control, and Intrusion systems and services with the sales team and customers possessing varying levels of knowledge and experience.
• Analyze data to identify material and labor needs for assigned projects, often related to Video Surveillance, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection systems.
• Following departmental procedures, collect and organize information to generate estimates for customers.
• Create Bill of Materials for assigned projects: coordinate with the internal purchasing department and manufacturers to achieve the best pricing, calculate cost factors, and prepare estimates.
• Draft detailed scope of work documents and formal proposals.
• Attend both internal and external meetings, actively participating in project kick-off meetings for assigned work.
• Consult with internal customers, vendors, sales teams, or other stakeholders to discuss and develop estimates while addressing issues related to assigned customer projects.
• Support Operations personnel in comprehending agreements and bid figures for assigned projects.
• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for assigned projects.
• Handle multiple tasks related to assigned customers with a sense of urgency, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience with one or more of the following technologies: Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion, and IT Infrastructure.
• Familiarity with a variety of security device manufacturers.
• Capability to be flexible and manage your workload independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to be a productive contributor in a remote work environment.
• At least 2 years of pre-sales, customer-facing engineering experience, along with 2+ years in estimating, design, or engineering.
• Industry experience or related background dealing with large-scale projects or national deployments.
• Proficiency in designing, configuring, and engineering Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion, infrastructure, and data networks.
• Intermediate skills in Excel, including formatting and formula creation.
• Intermediate skills in MS Word.
