PHP Developer, Mid-level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance corporate systems utilizing PHP technology, ensuring quality, performance, security, and compliance with both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Execute corrective, adaptive, evolutionary, and preventive maintenance on information systems.

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues and incidents in development, staging, and production environments.

• Develop and sustain integrations between internal and external systems through APIs and services.

• Engage in the implementation of technical solutions that align with established architectural standards.

• Generate and maintain technical documentation related to the developed solutions.

• Take part in agile ceremonies and activities, contributing to the planning and execution of deliverables.

• Assist with unit, integration, and acceptance testing activities to ensure the quality of delivered solutions.

• Maintain and enhance legacy systems, proposing technical improvements as necessary.

• Support application and database performance analysis, aiding in performance and stability improvements.

• Collaborate with analysts, architects, support teams, infrastructure, database, information security, and other relevant areas.

• Implement software engineering best practices, code versioning, and development quality standards.

• Ensure adherence to technical, methodological, and operational requirements established contractually.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of experience in web application development using PHP technologies.

• Understanding of agile software development principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP).

• Familiarity with design patterns and enterprise application architecture.

• Understanding of three-tier application architecture (MVC).

• Experience in developing and utilizing REST APIs and integrating systems.

• Proficient with source code versioning tools.

• Background in production support and troubleshooting.

• Experience in analyzing and resolving production incidents.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps practices.

• Proficient in PHP 5.x, PHP 7.x, or higher.

• Experience with Laravel or comparable frameworks.

• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Experience with relational databases, including Oracle.

• Experience in creating and maintaining Stored Procedures, Functions, and Packages in Oracle/PostgreSQL.

• Proficient with Git, GitLab, or equivalent version control tools.

• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools.
