This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver practical, everyday support to help individuals navigate daily challenges through modeling and coaching techniques for substance use recovery, adhering to an established treatment plan via telephone or video conference.
• Perform regular monitoring of patient experiences using standardized and proprietary assessments.
• Ensure timely and precise documentation of peer interactions and related data.
• Assist peers in accessing community and health plan resources.
• Collaborate with the MAP clinical and product development teams to enhance technology systems and operational protocols.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with team members for MAP’s 24/7 after-hours support line.
• Communicate peer concerns and issues to clinical leadership.
• Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor towards MAP peers and colleagues.
• Engage in staffing and company meetings in a clear and organized manner.
• A minimum of 3 years of continuous sobriety from drugs and alcohol is required.
• Must be actively participating in a recovery program related to your substance use history.
• A recovery program should include regular attendance at recovery support activities (such as 12-step meetings, SMART recovery, or other support communities, along with consistent appointments with a substance use disorder provider).
• Maintain a lifestyle that fosters ongoing mental, physical, and spiritual well-being, as well as healthy interpersonal relationships.
• A sincere commitment to supporting the health and recovery of individuals and families affected by substance use disorders.
• An understanding and sensitivity to the challenges faced by those impacted by substance use disorders, approached in a manner that is accepting and free of stigma.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Must adhere to MAP’s Teleworking requirements, which include having a quiet, designated office space with a locked door and access to high-speed internet.
