Patient Engagement Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The Patient Partnership Associate assists the team by enhancing awareness of clinical research and aiding in the enrollment of patients for clinical research studies (commonly known as clinical trials).

• Candidates are expected to exhibit the capability to recruit patients for clinical trials, participate in health fairs, promote the company within the local community, and achieve enrollment targets.

• Must demonstrate an understanding of the Company’s clinical research initiatives, including the related diagnoses and medical terminology pertinent to each study.

• Responsible for comprehending the protocols and exclusions, along with a thorough understanding of each trial being executed.

• Build rapport and ensure courteous and efficient service is delivered to callers, site locations, and all customers, including but not limited to patients, subjects, potential subjects, doctors, pharmaceutical sponsors, and various company levels.

• Conduct outgoing recruitment calls and respond to inbound inquiries; the target is to complete 80-120 calls daily.

• Perform subject screening by identifying patient diagnoses and exclusion factors to ensure appropriate study placement.

• Review patient charts using various EMR platforms, determine eligibility criteria for studies, and prescreen all patients prior to their appointments.

• Align potential patients' needs with current studies, upcoming studies, or log in the database for future studies.

• Schedule qualified subjects.

• Responsible for database maintenance, including tracking clinical trial progress and timeliness; Reviewing screen sheets as they are forwarded to the sites and triaging participants into suitable studies; Maintaining the status of all subjects in the database.

• Adhere to an IRB-approved protocol.

• Must maintain confidentiality, prioritize and manage work effectively, and provide outstanding customer service.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.

• Experience in clinical research or patient recruiting is highly preferred.

• Data entry experience is also preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word) and web applications is required.

• Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are essential.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Well-developed interpersonal skills with the capability to work well independently as well as collaboratively with co-workers, peers, supervisors, and external customers.

• An outgoing personality and the ability to engage with individuals are a must.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining precision and adapting to changes in responsibilities and workloads.

• Must be professional, exhibit a high degree of urgency and self-motivation, and possess a strong work ethic.

• Must have a high degree of integrity and the ability to uphold confidentiality regarding HIPAA guidelines, patient matters, and other sensitive information.
