This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• This role is accountable for reviewing, verifying, and completing any missing registration or insurance details on electronically received encounters.
• Oversees multiple client accounts based on assigned volume and established productivity standards.
• Regularly monitors and reports on low volumes, absent service dates, and encounters that lack necessary insurance or payer information.
• Utilizes the RICA coding application and AthenaIDX to amend and update demographic records in accordance with hospital or client data.
• Performs essential verification checks and assigns accurate payer information to facilitate timely billing processes.
• Takes responsibility for Level 2 escalations from the offshore team.
• Ensures work is processed within two business days from when it becomes available.
• Accurately completes daily production records in a timely manner.
• Communicates any deviations from established workflows and escalates issues affecting daily submissions or month-end closures.
• Consistently engages with colleagues in a respectful, kind, and understanding manner.
• Collaborates with internal teams (Billing, Coding, Enrollment, EDI, Leadership) when clarification or support across departments is needed.
• Participates in ongoing training, updates, and process enhancement initiatives.
• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in the healthcare sector is required.
• Familiarity with Athena IDX is advantageous.
• Preferred background includes training and/or certification in Insurance data entry or Medical Front office.
