This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Offer specialized knowledge in malignant hematology and related products for medical customer segments and initiatives within the designated AZ, UT, NV, NM territory.
• Develop and implement compliant medical strategies and engagements for targeted customers.
• Stay informed on malignant hematology, associated diseases, and Pfizer medications.
• Supply therapeutic area and product information to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a liaison for medical information and customer insights.
• Present approved medical content and address unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals.
• Identify and engage key customer segments in malignant hematology.
• Manage incoming inquiries from healthcare professionals through the established triage system.
• Collaborate with Oncology Research & Development and Global Product Development to identify potential clinical trial sites, including those serving under-represented patient populations.
• Provide medical support during the Investigator Sponsored Research process.
• Enhance malignant hematology expertise through data from congresses and literature on disease states.
• Lead asset management and communicate study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation.
• Oversee the assigned territory and maintain communication with local Patient Advocacy Groups.
• Share insights on local patient organization structures, capabilities, and patient population needs.
• Participate in Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees as appropriate.
• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs in clinical and professional associations and societies.
• Mentor colleagues through onboarding, advisory boards, and study leadership.
• Engage in special projects as required.
• Collaborate with headquarters medical colleagues, Field Medical teams, cross-functional groups, internal stakeholders, and external customers.
• Enhance patient-centricity in medical communications and deliverables.
• MD or DO degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in malignant hematology is required.
• Recognized subject matter expertise in malignant hematology among internal and external stakeholders.
• Current residency in Arizona, Utah, Nevada, or New Mexico.
• Capability to manage a significant volume of projects in a remote setting.
• Strong ability to prioritize, implement successfully, demonstrate excellent judgment, and thrive in a continuous improvement environment.
• Proficient in working within a matrixed, multidisciplinary team.
• Capacity to lead change in a dynamic external healthcare environment.
• Agile and adaptable to new opportunities and organizational changes.
• Strong problem-solving and extensive networking skills.
• Ability to quickly adopt and utilize new digital technologies and resources with medical customers, while accurately documenting medical interactions.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Capability to operate a Pfizer company vehicle.
• Willingness to travel by airplane regularly.
• Flexibility to travel 60–80% of the time.
• Reasonable proximity to an airline hub city is required.
• Availability to work weekends for advisory boards, regional meetings, and congresses.
• Preferred: Deep expertise and/or clinical experience in malignant hematology.
• Preferred: Established network of healthcare professionals within the territory.
• Preferred: Familiarity with internal and external SOPs, rules, and regulations regarding Pfizer/customer interactions.
• Preferred: Previous experience in Field Medical roles.
• Demonstrated clinical and technical skills are essential.
• Diverse leadership experience, including influencing and collaborating with peers to create business impact.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflicts constructively.
• Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not currently available and will not be in the future.
• This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States.
