ODM Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and execute business rules and decision services utilizing IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM)

• Create and manage rule projects, decision tables, decision trees, and business rule workflows

• Build Java-based applications and services that seamlessly integrate with ODM decision services

• Work alongside business analysts and subject matter experts to convert business policies into actionable business rules

• Deploy, test, and oversee rule applications within ODM environments

• Design and execute integrations between ODM and enterprise applications via APIs and service interfaces

• Enhance rule performance and resolve execution issues

• Engage in architecture reviews and offer recommendations for best practices in decision management

• Create automated unit, integration, and regression tests for decision services

• Assist in CI/CD processes and support production deployments

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, rule governance standards, and operational procedures

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Java

• 3+ years of practical experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM)

• Strong proficiency in: IBM ODM Rule Designer, IBM ODM Decision Center, IBM ODM Rule Execution Server (RES), Java, RESTful Web Services, SQL and relational databases, Git version control

• Experience in translating business requirements into rule-based decision logic

• Solid understanding of business rules management systems (BRMS) and decision automation principles

• Experience with Agile development methodologies

• Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
