Occupational Therapist Registered – Virtual

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough assessments of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional capabilities.

• Create tailored treatment plans and objectives in partnership with students, parents, and educational staff.

• Execute evidence-based occupational therapy practices to meet the unique needs of students and enhance skill acquisition.

• Track and document students' progress towards their goals, modifying intervention strategies as necessary.

• Offer guidance and support to teachers and other school personnel on methods to encourage student engagement and achievement in the classroom.

• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support for students' academic and functional requirements.

• Attend IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and assist in formulating students' educational strategies.

• Keep precise and timely records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other essential documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline.

• Must possess a valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state where you reside and practice.

• Enthusiastic about working with K-12 students in a virtual environment.

• Experience in delivering occupational therapy services in a school or pediatric context.

• Familiarity with assessment tools and therapeutic methods commonly utilized in pediatric occupational therapy.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in computer applications (including email and Microsoft Teams).

• Experience with teletherapy.

• Knowledge of sensory integration therapy, Handwriting Without Tears, and other therapeutic approaches (preferred).
