Network Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain a secure, scalable, and dependable network security infrastructure throughout the organization.

• Enhance corporate and cloud network security measures.

• Elevate security standards and automation processes.

• Assist in ensuring the resilience and safeguarding of the company’s infrastructure against contemporary security threats.

• Oversee and advance the corporate VPN infrastructure.

• Maintain and enhance the Next-Generation Firewall infrastructure across the organization.

• Take ownership and lead the execution of network security controls and best practices.

• Design, refine, and secure network architectures.

• Manage network security within cloud environments.

• Integrate and deploy network and security devices.

• Contribute to the formulation of security policies and standards.

• Automate routine network security and operational tasks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience as a Network Security Engineer or Network Engineer.

• Practical experience with modern VPN solutions.

• Familiarity with Firewalls/Next-Generation Firewalls and a solid understanding of NFtables/IPtables and fundamental firewall principles.

• Strong knowledge of network segmentation, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and DDoS mitigation strategies.

• In-depth understanding of Linux-based operating systems, including the networking stack.

• Experience with Public Cloud technologies (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud), particularly in networking and security implementations.

• Solid grasp of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.

• Comprehensive knowledge of OSI layers (L2/L3/L4/L7), prevalent network architectures, Firewalls, and IDS/IPS environments.

• Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Salt Stack).

• Experience with network monitoring and observability tools, including NetFlow/IPFIX traffic analysis.

• Proficiency in automation using Python or Go.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
