Network Development Analyst – Mid-level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in the development, integration, and upkeep of automation solutions that enhance engineering and operational workflows, ensuring the efficient, secure, and reliable provision of technology services, particularly in network environments and services.

• Advocate for automation, standardization, observability, and the continuous enhancement of technical processes by integrating network engineering, infrastructure, security, monitoring, and operations teams.

• Develop and sustain automations, API integrations, CI/CD pipelines, scripts, technical documentation, and monitoring and observability systems, facilitating service provisioning, environmental security, and the ongoing advancement of engineering and operational practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Networks, or similar technology or telecommunications disciplines.

• Hands-on experience in DevOps-related activities, automation of network and infrastructure services, system integration, Linux environment support, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Professional experience at a mid-level, showcasing the ability to autonomously handle moderately complex tasks, collaborate with various teams, and suggest technical enhancements.

• Proficiency with Git, including code versioning, pull/merge requests, branches, change reviews, and best practices for repository organization.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.

• Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Ansible and/or Terraform.

• Proficient in Python, Bash, and JavaScript for automating tasks, system integration, file manipulation, API usage, error handling, and operational routines.

• Experience in consuming and integrating REST APIs.

• Understanding of data serialization formats, particularly JSON, YAML, and XML.

• Practical knowledge of Linux, including command line usage, permissions, services, logs, processes, and troubleshooting.

• Awareness of security best practices, secure development, OWASP Top 10, password management, access control, and pipeline security.

• Familiarity with Docker and fundamental Kubernetes concepts.

• Comprehension of the three pillars of observability: metrics, events, logs, and traces.

• Capability to create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, operational procedures, diagrams, and deployment records.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, routing, IP addressing, firewall concepts, VPNs, and basic/intermediate troubleshooting skills.

• Proficient in technical English for reading documentation, troubleshooting, and basic technical writing.
