National Response Systems Effectiveness Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Act as a technical liaison facilitating coordination among pertinent stakeholders.

• Assist in the daily execution of technical projects within the NRSE Portfolio.

• Carry out and oversee technical assessments at the field level.

• Aid in implementing Port Preparedness and Human Capital strategies.

• Contribute to training workshops, simulation exercises, and "train-the-trainer" initiatives.

• Serve as a primary technical contact for stakeholders.

• Collaborate with relevant GSD teams to support the deployment of specialized resources.

• Work in conjunction with consultants and contractors to monitor project progress.

• Be prepared to deploy on short notice as a technical liaison within a GSD Disaster Response Team.

• Assist in the swift integration of GSD surge assets during active emergency situations.

• Support budget management and resource tracking.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant management experience in humanitarian aid, disaster response, or development.

• At least two (2) years of experience in Telecoms, Energy, or WASH in low-resource or emergency environments.

• Proven experience in supporting programs for government entities or regional organizations (CDEMA/CEPREDENAC) in the Caribbean or Central America.

• Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, International Development, Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience and training.

• Desired qualifications include ICS, 100, 200, 700, 800; certification in project management is also preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.

• Proficiency in Spanish and/or French is preferred.
