This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee the creation of proprietary frameworks and coding for analyzing electrified propulsion technologies.
• Conduct first-principles modeling tasks to establish intricate models.
• Integrate basic or advanced control logic that dictates the physical behavior of the models included in the frameworks and proprietary code.
• Develop pre- and post-processing tools to assist in resolving issues related to the frameworks and proprietary code usage.
• Present findings through oral presentations and written reports to Chief Engineers, Centers of Excellence (COEs), component engineers, and powertrain managers.
• Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Automotive).
• Prior experience in the automotive industry.
• Proficient in English (both spoken and written).
• Extensive knowledge of vehicle propulsion systems (including internal combustion engines, transmissions, axles, drivelines, batteries, and electric motors).
• Strong understanding of hybrid and electrified control strategies, along with energy management optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with Torque Path strategies for hybrid and electrified propulsion systems.
• Understanding of ECMS (Equivalent Consumption Minimization Strategy) for energy management.
• Advanced proficiency in commercial tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, and GT-Suite.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
• Knowledgeable in fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
• Experience with production controls.
• Familiar with Git for code versioning and collaborative workflows.
• Background in vehicle testing or data analysis.
