This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Conducting research to ensure adherence to all mortgage banking laws, rules, and regulations.
• Evaluating regulatory updates and determining their potential impact on the company.
• Offering recommendations for essential policy and procedural modifications.
• Supervising monthly assessments of regulatory compliance vulnerabilities.
• Contributing to the development of the compliance training program.
• Keeping abreast of new rules and guidance from federal and state regulatory sources.
• Composing compliance alerts.
• Maintaining a log of regulatory changes.
• Transforming intricate regulatory updates into actionable summaries.
• Preparing reports and presentations for compliance evaluations.
• Aiding in the execution of compliance policies and procedures.
• Addressing compliance-related queries from other departments.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a compliance role within a financial institution.
• Familiarity with mortgage banking and consumer compliance laws and regulations.
• Capability to establish effective relationships and exert influence at senior organizational levels.
• Proactive, self-motivated, with a keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated history of fostering positive working relationships.
• Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• Insight into when issues necessitate escalation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical writing skills paired with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
