Mobile Engineer, React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Construct, maintain, and enhance our React Native mobile application.

• Collaborate within a team of frontend and backend engineers, along with product owners and designers.

• Create mobile-first functionalities focused on tracking, training progress, and AI capabilities.

• Transform product and design vision into a reliable and polished mobile user experience.

• Sustain and upgrade our Next.js web frontend as necessary.

• Navigate and enhance an existing codebase with careful consideration and sound judgment.

• Utilize AI coding tools effectively throughout the entire development lifecycle.

• Make practical technical decisions regarding architecture, maintainability, performance, and speed.

• Review code and contribute to the enhancement of our frontend and mobile engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in React Native, or significant mobile development experience with a strong desire to advance further.

• Solid experience with React and Next.js to contribute to our web platform as required.

• Good judgment regarding architecture, refactoring, technical debt, and maintainability.

• Experience utilizing AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools.

• Familiarity with modern deployment workflows and cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and code comprehension skills.

• Clear communication skills along with a practical, low-ego approach to work.

• Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote-first environment.

• Willingness to attend the office for team events.

• Openness to feedback, learning, and ongoing improvement.

• Proficiency in both German and English.
