Middle Embedded Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create individual components, modules, classes, and devices.

• Develop, debug, document, and sustain segments of both software and hardware.

• Execute various types of testing procedures.

• Engage in estimation and planning discussions.

• Aid in the creation of technical project documentation as well as user manuals.

• Offer support to test engineers and technical staff in resolving software installation and operational issues.

• Join conference calls and face-to-face meetings with customers and their partners.

• Adhere to the highest engineering practices, technical standards, and quality benchmarks defined for the project.

• Provide updates on status and progress in alignment with project and company requirements.

• Identify existing shortcomings in the development workflow, established procedures, engineering practices, and environmental configurations, while proposing enhancements.

• Elevate technical challenges to the Architect, Team Lead, and Project Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience with C programming.

• Familiarity with cloud connectivity applications, including monitoring and Firmware-Over-the-Air (FOTA) solutions.

• Strong expertise in communication technologies such as LTE, BLE, OpenThread, MQTT, and cybersecurity.

• Practical experience with Yocto Linux.

• Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems, including software debugging on actual devices (utilizing J-Link, ST-Link) and resolving system-level challenges.

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English.

• WOULD BE A PLUS: Knowledge of hardware.

• Experience with Docker, GitLab, and Jira.
