Mid-Level Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Gather data from various sources, including databases and data collection tools;

• Data cleaning and preparation: process raw data to ensure it is clean, consistent, and ready for analysis. During this phase, eliminate any duplicate, corrupted, or empty records that may skew the analysis;

• Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): conduct exploratory analyses to comprehend data distributions and pinpoint patterns and/or outliers that might suggest initial trends;

• Report and dashboard development: design visual reports and dashboards using Certsys tools and/or client-provided tools that emphasize key insights uncovered during data collection, cleaning, and EDA;

• Data modeling: actively engage in designing data models and database structures that cater to the organization’s analytical requirements;

• Statistical analysis: utilize fundamental statistical techniques to explore relationships between variables, conduct hypothesis testing, and perform comparative analyses based on business rules;

• Team collaboration: collaborate with business teams, data scientists, and other professionals to gather analytical requirements and convert them into effective solutions;

• Understanding business objectives: maintain a thorough understanding of the organization’s business goals to ensure that data analysis aligns with company objectives;

• Technical skill development: continuously enhance technical abilities, including programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R, as well as the latest data analysis tools;

• Communication of results: proficiently convey data analysis outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that insights are actionable and capable of influencing business decisions;

• Identify opportunities to enhance business processes based on findings from data analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (preferred);

• Intermediate knowledge of Databases and Data Structures (preferred);

• Basic knowledge of Programming Languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Java, Scala) (preferred);

• Basic understanding of Business Process Automation (preferred);

• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning (e.g., regression, decision trees, neural networks, natural language processing - NLP, clustering) (preferred);

• Intermediate knowledge of Data Analysis (e.g., descriptive statistics, data visualization, exploratory data analysis, predictive modeling, data mining) (preferred);

• Basic knowledge of Big Data (e.g., Apache Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig) (preferred);

• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (preferred);

• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Scala, C++) (preferred);

• Proficiency in Data Visualization techniques and tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) (preferred);

• Understanding of Advanced Statistics (e.g., time series models, survival analysis) (preferred);

• Experience with Agile methodologies and software development practices (preferred).
