Mid Level Cloud Engineer

📋 Description

• Design & Develop: Spearhead the architecture for software design and development, crafting innovative solutions for high-performance services on extensive compute clusters and AWS Cloud Infrastructure.

• Plan and Stand-up: Establish the IL4 Landing Zone with Immortal Jellyfish, creating a baseline platform with automated deployment and repeatable templates.

• Optimize & Enhance: Drive the strategy for testing, performance tuning, and optimization of cloud-native applications to guarantee high availability and efficiency.

• Collaborate: Partner with a vibrant, cross-functional team to innovate and launch services based in the cloud.

• Conduct high-level requirements analysis, software development, integration, and testing with a high degree of autonomy.

• Oversee the design and implementation of software solutions on large-scale compute clusters and AWS Cloud Infrastructure.

• Mentor junior team members and assist in refining processes to ensure project success.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of six (6) years of experience in software development or engineering.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is mandatory.

• Proficient in AWS services pertaining to compute, storage, and event-driven applications.

• Strong expertise in either object-oriented or functional programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Python, or Rust.

• Extensive knowledge in developing and designing AWS SDKs/APIs and utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.

• Familiar with Git, Maven, Jira, and other tools for source code management.

• Understanding of containerization, build systems, and infrastructure automation using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
