Mid-Level Chatbot Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance nodes, intents, entities, and training examples within IBM Watson Assistant v2.

• Create and validate utterances to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with business rules.

• Semantically structure and standardize intents, entities, and conversational flows.

• Map business rules and convert them into efficient and intuitive conversational experiences.

• Integrate and utilize REST APIs within Watson Assistant flows.

• Utilize JavaScript in Watson Assistant v2 to implement logic, manipulate variables, and process information.

• Employ regular expressions (RegEx) for capturing, validating, and processing entity data.

• Identify and address conflicts between intents and issues related to the accuracy of the conversational model.

• Curate conversations and suggest enhancements to improve the quality and accuracy of interactions.

• Refactor legacy conversational journeys to boost organization, performance, standardization, and maintainability.

• Manage Development, Staging, and Production workspaces, including version control and backups.

• Engage in deployment, release, and validation processes across various environments.

• Conduct code reviews and contribute to the establishment of the team’s technical best practices.

• Create and maintain technical documentation related to flows, APIs, integrations, and business rules.

• Collaborate with professionals from Conversation Curation, UX Writing, Backend, QA, and Product teams.

• Participate in gathering and analyzing requirements with technical and business teams.

• Contribute to technical decision-making and ongoing improvement initiatives for the conversational platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience with IBM Watson Assistant v2.

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining chatbots and conversational journeys at scale.

• Proficient in creating and managing intents, entities, nodes, and training examples.

• Experience integrating and consuming REST APIs within Watson Assistant.

• Practical knowledge of JavaScript as applied to Watson Assistant v2.

• Ability to interpret business rules and translate them into conversational journeys.

• Experience managing workspaces and Development, Staging, and Production environments.

• Familiarity with deployment, versioning, and release processes.

• Capability to create technical documentation for flows, integrations, and business rules.

• Basic knowledge of Jira and Confluence.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, Product, and business stakeholders.
