This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, test, and deploy Workato recipes, callable recipes, connections, API endpoints, and data pipelines.
• Convert business requirements into integration designs, interface specifications, field-level mappings, sequencing, error management, and reprocessing strategies.
• Create integrations across patient enrollment, benefits verification, prior authorization, copay assistance, prescription triage, specialty pharmacy, nursing, reimbursement, adherence, and refill workflows.
• Integrate Salesforce utilizing REST, Bulk, Composite APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, External Services, and Named Credentials.
• Work with HL7, FHIR, X12 EDI, NCPDP, SFTP, JSON, and XML.
• Implement secure connectivity through OAuth 2.0, JWT, mutual TLS, IP allow listing, PGP, secrets management, and Workato On-Prem Agent.
• Develop custom connectors using the Workato Connector SDK.
• Oversee recipe lifecycle, environments, version control, deployments, promotions, and rollbacks.
• Instrument integrations for monitoring, notifications, retries, dead-letter handling, and SLA reporting.
• Apply PHI-appropriate practices for minimization, masking, encryption, access control, and audit logging.
• Create technical documentation, unit test scripts, defect logs, traceability evidence, and support regulated validation activities.
• Engage in client discovery sessions, design workshops, and status meetings.
• Assist in estimation and presales activities.
• Provide hypercare, production support, root cause analysis, and permanent remediation.
• Over 5 years of hands-on integration development experience.
• At least 3 years of experience building production integrations on Workato.
• Experience in healthcare or life sciences integration supporting patient services, hub services, or patient support program operations.
• Familiarity with hub vendors, specialty pharmacy and distribution, benefits investigation, prior authorization, copay and patient assistance programs, and adverse event capture obligations.
• Practical knowledge of the Salesforce platform, including object models, APIs, limits, authentication, sandboxes, and deployments.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or Life Sciences Cloud integration.
• Strong understanding of API design and integration patterns, including REST, SOAP, synchronous/asynchronous, event-driven, batch/bulk, idempotency, and pagination.
• Experience with HL7, FHIR, X12, NCPDP, SFTP, and file-based interchange.
• Direct experience managing PHI and PII under HIPAA regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities using logs, job history, and API traces.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be based in the United States and authorized to work without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Required certifications: Workato Automation Pro I and Workato Automation Pro II.
• Workato Automation Pro III certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with MuleSoft or Boomi and relevant certifications are advantageous.
• Salesforce certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with Workato Agent Studio, genies, MCP tooling, custom connectors, Veeva, Snowflake, Databricks, Data Cloud, GxP, CSV/CSA, 21 CFR Part 11, EHR/EMR platforms, consulting, and AWS/Azure services is beneficial.
