This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Performs timely operational, financial, and/or compliance audits, both internally and externally.
• Recognizes, records, and assesses business risks.
• Creates comprehensive written audit programs.
• Executes testing and analysis on current controls.
• Compiles written work papers to document the findings from testing.
• Formulates recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance processes.
• Prepares audit reports for corporate executive management.
• Gathers and analyzes data to identify inadequate controls.
• Assesses the effectiveness of corrective actions as identified.
• Produces detailed reports for each audit performed.
• Reviews and assesses financial and information systems.
• Conducts specialized audit studies for management purposes.
• Offers training and support to other auditors, potentially leading teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience.
• Familiarity with auditing principles and practices.
• Capability to analyze and assess the relevance of financial data.
• Proficient in gathering information through examination of records and documents.
• Strong interpersonal skills coupled with professionalism.
• Proficient in clear and effective communication, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or completion of 12 credit hours.
• Preferred: Experience as a lead auditor for Uniform Desk Reviews (UDRs) and intricate hospital audits.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in auditing Medicare hospital cost reports.
• Preferred: Knowledge in reviewing Medicare Bad Debt and DSH cost reports.
• Preferred: Experience in Nursing and Allied Health Education (NAHE) legal operator determinations.
