Medical Science Liaison – North Central

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish, cultivate, and sustain collaborative relationships with existing and prospective national and regional key opinion leaders, speakers, and investigators through meaningful scientific dialogue.

• Remain updated on medical and scientific advancements in Dermatology and related disciplines by continuously reviewing pertinent literature, observing competitor activities, engaging with experts, and participating in relevant conferences.

• Assist national and regional scientific congresses with KOL engagements, poster/abstract coverage, booth staffing, and company debriefs.

• Provide internal stakeholders with constructive feedback and actionable insights derived from interactions and discussions with healthcare professionals (HCPs).

• Identify, engage, and support investigators and site personnel at high-impact, high-performing clinical research sites for Oruka’s clinical development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree in life sciences (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, MSN, NP/DNP, DMS/PA or equivalent) is mandatory.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical and/or industry experience is necessary, with a strong preference for experience in Dermatology.

• Previous experience as a field medical science liaison is essential, with a preference for Dermatology experience.

• Regular and practical experience in a field medical role with CRO and clinical operations is preferred.

• Relevant therapeutic area knowledge, along with a comprehensive understanding of the drug development process, clinical trial design, safety monitoring, and the regulatory environment in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Exceptional communication and time management abilities.

• Applicants must reside within the designated territory with convenient access to a national/international airport.
