Medical Director, Clinical Trial Physician – Neurology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provides effective medical leadership within the Study team.

• Collaborates closely with other members of this interdisciplinary team.

• Delivers dependable, high-quality study data on schedule and within budget.

• Offers medical guidance to the study teams.

• Develops clinical trial protocols by incorporating the latest scientific advancements.

• Participates in site selection processes.

• Reviews and approves study protocols and amendments.

• Ensures the medical validity of each primary endpoint.

• Conducts real-time medical monitoring of clinical studies.

• Analyzes clinical trial data for regulatory documentation.

• Prepares and presents materials to the study executive and independent safety committee, if necessary.

• Ensures compliance with all medical aspects of the study by understanding and applying all relevant SOPs and GCP.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Medical Doctor or equivalent degree is required.

• Board certifications are preferred.

• Specialty education (e.g., residency/fellowship) in neurology is required.

• 1-3 years of experience in the industry is required.

• Neurologists with expertise in Pediatric Neurology or Neuromuscular diseases are highly preferred.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is a must.

• Demonstrated understanding and experience with the NDA submission process.

• Proven knowledge of regulatory guidelines for adverse event reporting.

• Strong interpersonal skills that enable effective leadership of a study team.

• A proactive problem solver with negotiation skills.
