Mathematics Content Developer, Cambridge Curriculum, ESL Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Develop lesson-specific Mathematics content in accordance with established curriculum objectives and lesson frameworks.

• Design self-study resources that present concepts clearly and facilitate independent learning.

• Create materials for live classes that enable educators to enhance learning through guided practice and discussion.

• Write explanations, examples, and practice tasks that are friendly for ESL learners.

• Construct activities that promote student engagement, communication, and comprehension.

• Adhere to templates, formatting guidelines, and internal content quality standards.

• Revise materials based on feedback from the academic or content teams.

• Provide answer keys or instructional notes as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in teaching Mathematics or creating Mathematics educational materials.

• Familiarity with Cambridge Mathematics curriculum at the Primary and/or Lower Secondary level.

• Ability to align content with specified learning objectives.

• Experience in supporting ESL learners or modifying content for students learning in English.

• Capability to explain mathematical concepts in a clear and straightforward manner.

• Strong command of written English and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficient in following structured templates and content systems.

• Comfortable working independently and integrating feedback into work.

• Previous experience with the Cambridge curriculum, including IGCSE Mathematics (preferred).

• Experience in developing content for online or blended learning environments (preferred).

• Familiarity with learning management systems or online learning platforms (preferred).

• Experience in creating interactive learning activities (preferred).

• Background in ESL, EAL, or CLIL-based instruction (preferred).

• Teaching experience in Mathematics classrooms or online learning settings (preferred).
